Kitsch筋
最先激起我條「Kitsch筋」的, 是咱們偉大的上海世博開幕式.
後來Kitsch筋激起了就很難再壓下去, 總是想起Kitsch. Kitsch kitsch kitsch kitsch kitsch!!!!!
先避開世博開幕式不談, 其實何謂Kitsch? 這是wikipedia的解釋:
Kitsch (English pronunciation: /ˈkɪtʃ/, loanword from German) is an art that is considered an inferior, tasteless copy of an extant style of art or a worthless imitation of art of recognized value. The concept is associated with the deliberate use of elements that may be thought of as cultural icons [1] while making cheap mass-produced objects that are unoriginal. Kitsch also refers to the types of art that are aesthetically deficient (whether or not being sentimental, glamorous, theatrical, or creative) and that make creative gestures which merely imitate the superficial appearances of art through repeated conventions and formulae. Excessive sentimentality often is associated with the term.

「把扮演中國人的演員放到舞台上, 讓他們戴上斗笠, 劃上兩撇山羊鬍子, 褲管捲起來, 站在水稻田裡, 然後讓他們站在那裡唱美國人聽起來貌似中國歌的Ching-Chang-Chong」(親愛的安德烈p.240)
這就是Kitsch了. 如果上面的文字能給你一種強烈的厭惡感, 那表示你也有一條「Kitsch筋」, 見到一些太甜的, 太刻意的, 太hard sell的, 太「為XX而XX」的事/物會產生非理性的厭惡感覺. Kitsch 的原意只限於低俗品味的文藝作品, 後來延伸至假正經, 偽君子, 做作, 虛偽, 裝模作樣. 基本上任何事情犯上其中一項, 就有機會被人大罵: 「Kitsch!!!!!!!!」
現在你明白為何世博開幕式是Kitsch吧? 一個好繽紛好多顏色的大舞台, 好閃好閃, 好多人站在上面跳舞, 轉來轉去, 交出標準笑容, 做出一副好快樂的樣子; 我們中國現在很強大呀, 我們有很多錢辦世博哦, 所以我很快樂哦. 一個個中國人白人黑人家庭站在舞台不同方位, 都是爸爸抱著孩子, 媽媽站在旁邊護著小朋友, 我們好幸福哦, 所以我們笑得好燦爛哦. 我們好開心哦. 你feel到血糖指數向上升未? 之後我們有Kitsch的極致 – Andrea Bocelli!!!
我唔明擺個條死靚妹係個台度做咩!!!!!!!! (其實靚妹無罪, 擺佢上台個個就好大罪) 人家唱意大利opera, 我沒意見; Andrea Bocelli疑似咪咀, 我算; 但個個靚妹係咩事? 要導盲的話為什麼要穿成這樣, 梳一個這樣的頭, 化一個這樣的妝, 做一個這樣的表情, 手還要拿著海寶, 頭隨著節拍搖來搖去! 唱完了, 很政治正確地給人家一抱, 而Bocelli又很政治正確地順手抱起靚妹!!! 好感動哦, 中國意大利跨國友誼哦, 好感動哦, 我要哭了哦…..KITSCH!!!!!!!!!!
看下去的話我怕我會糖尿, 結果關了電視. 這麼Kitsch…自問沒有本事看下去了. 太甜了, 我怕我受不了哦

Google logos
其實很久之前已留意到這個現象: google front page 的illustrations 是會變的
變得相當有時令. 會跟節日, 登月紀念日版面會變成月球表面
illustrations 出色, 見到靚的會download留念. 之後上網一找, 原本有同好者!! 大大個collection show 俾你睇!!! 機已屈

真痴線, 沒有archi degree 的人跑到Harvard Yale 當客席教授. 都說世人迷信的是才幹而非學位.

Shanghai Expo 2010: Pavilions
as the old saying goes, China now serves as the huge ground for architectural experiment; a ground that provides investors having billions in their pocket and blind determination (or, passion?) to make China "a modern international country"
what so ever. Shanghai-Expo-2010-is-coming-to-town and let's see what experimental products are brought
